A band influenced by all eras of music, from baroque inspired melody lines to rock riffs, from fiddle reels to jazz, from klezmer-tinged folk to psychedelic blues... Edinburgh collective Jacob's Pillow are renowned for their breathtaking blend of traditional and modern styles.

Since their formation in 2005, the unique Jacob's Pillow sound has been forged from an odyssey of musical exploration, both from a collective perspective and individually. An enthusiasm and passion for what they love and know best has been a major guiding force in their creative endeavours, always with a desire to explore something new and different.

Already their path has taken them all over the UK and Europe, showcasing their innovative take on modern Celtic fusion at some of the biggest folk festivals and venues in the country, including Knockengorroch World Music Festival, the Sound of Rum festival and Edinburgh's Ceilidh Culture.

The diverse combination of musical backgrounds in the band certainly comes across on the debut album 'Jacob's Pillow' released December 2012, and on 'Pathfinder', the band's debut EP, which has been selling consistently and gaining widespread praise since its release in 2005.
